The Endgame

Summary

Overview of case study

David Pearl is an innovator who works in business, the arts and social change. Through his books, talks and programs, he helps you engineer experiences that shake-up working cultures, inspire performance and change lives for the better. GSK is a science-led global healthcare company with a special purpose: to help people do more, feel better, live longer.

Step 1

What was the objective?

It’s been 60 years since the invention of the Polio vaccine, and at last, the battle to eliminate this debilitating and incurable disease is nearing its end. The last mile is proving to be the toughest - with superstition, war and vaccine resistance all playing a part. As their go-to video suppliers, consultancy David Pearl Group approached us to explore how to document this pinnacle point in Polio’s history on behalf of GSK.

Step 2

What solution did we offer?

The result is a 30-minute documentary called The Endgame. The film brings together a chain of the people who have been part of the fight to see how far we have come, and what it will take to make that final mile.

Step 3

What was the outcome?

Filming took us across the globe, including Nigeria, Paris, Geneva, Zurich... and Milton Keynes. The film features honest, beautifully shot interviews, aerial drone footage and intimate contextual cutaways woven together to cleverly tell the story.
